This collection, published by Hart and edited by Dr Jane Kotzmann and Associate Professor Marcelo Rodriguez Ferrere, is the first of its kind. Drawing together different perspectives as to the impact and future of the legal recognition of animal sentience, its contributions provide a comprehensive picture of what this novel turn in the law might entail for humans, animals, and our environment. It also provides insight into the experiences of different legal jurisdictions in pursuing recognition of animal sentience.
