Our industry partner, AALTRA invites abstracts for its 2026 Conference: bringing together animal law teachers, scholars, practitioners, and students to explore one of the most compelling questions in the field: What does justice really mean for animals?
Keynote Speaker: Professor Danielle Celermajer
Special Panels on: The latest developments in animal law across the Asia-Pacific region and Animals and Technology
Topics include (but are not limited to):
– Multi-species justice, wild law & capabilities frameworks
– Injustice in legal systems – does the law have an anti-animal bias?
– Regulatory capture, enforcement gaps & the case for an Office of Animal Welfare
– Animal welfare as a foundation for justice
– Indigenous, feminist & queer perspectives on animal justice
– The role of legal education in achieving justice for animals
To Submit: 200–250 word abstract + 100-word bio, your preferred conference day (26 Nov 3–5pm or 27 Nov 9:30–11:30am) if you cannot attend both, whether you’d like to be considered for publication as a book chapter
