Theme-lead Maria O’Sullivan is part of a project led by Professor Matthew Groves (Deakin University) and Yee-Fui Ng (Monash University) which addresses various aspects of automation in public law.
As part of this project, Maria is exploring the meaning and tools of protection from the harms of automation in public sector decision-making processes. In particular, this project evaluated and analyses the use of automation in refugee status determination decisions.
